I am a certified Critical Incident Stress Management Instructor through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and a Trauma Counsellor.
I have over 20 years of experience as an Emergency Services Responder in BC and Alberta. I bring this knowledge and experience with me into my classes as I believe there is a big difference between “book smart” and a person who has actually been through crisis and trauma.
I have created 8 Community Crisis Response Teams throughout Alberta, mostly in the Indigenous Communities so these communities have the skills to help each other when exposed to crisis/traumatic events.
I also do contract work as a Trauma Responder in the Oil Sands and surrounding businesses.
I am also a certified Suicide Intervention Instructor with the US Suicide Institute that offers 3 hours training designed to your group.
We also offer workshops designed to your company and request, Stress Management, Compassionate Fatigue and Building Resiliency.
