Float pods (floatation tanks or sensory deprivation tanks) contain over 1000 pounds of Epsom Salt dissolved in 10 inches of water. This silky solution is kept at body temperature making it nearly impossible to know where your skin ends and the water begins.  Inside the float pod, the body is completely buoyant and all senses (sight, sound, touch, smell) are subdued.
